The Control Design Leader role focuses on developing advanced motor control and vibration suppression algorithms for implementation on resource-constrained embedded microcontrollers. The position covers the full development lifecycle, from algorithm design and simulation to embedded implementation, optimisation, and physical hardware verification, while also providing project coordination and technical guidance to engineers.
Responsibilities
Develop damping control algorithms for motor control applications
Develop algorithms using machine learning, model-following control, and adaptive filters for implementation in embedded devices
Optimise processing speed and reduce code size to meet the performance constraints of embedded microcontrollers
Verify algorithm performance using both simulation tools and physical hardware
Coordinate projects and provide technical guidance to engineers
Requirements
Experience in embedded C or C++ programming for real-time control applications
Experience implementing artificial intelligence on embedded microcontrollers, or experience related to motor vibration suppression control, deterioration detection, or automatic load applications
Experience implementing machine-learning techniques, including support vector machines and neural networks, on microcontrollers
Experience implementing adaptive filters, including infinite impulse response and finite impulse response filters, on microcontrollers
