The Project Manager role is an onsite position focused on supporting a financing programme for startups, MSMEs, and social enterprises. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to funding mechanism design, project selection, performance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement across an impact-oriented programme.
Responsibilities
Support the design of a funding mechanism for start-ups, MSMEs, and social enterprises, including the development of a scoring model that evaluates both financial viability and social impact; refine the model based on real-time feedback and stakeholder input
Assist in the end-to-end selection process for projects, including screening applications, applying evaluation criteria, and preparing the required documentation
Facilitate the identification and onboarding of entrepreneurs, start-ups, and MSMEs under the financing programme, ensuring alignment with programme objectives and impact goals
Monitor funded projects post-disbursement by tracking performance, financial utilisation, and impact metrics; provide regular updates and flag risks or underperformance.
Deliver advisory support and training sessions on the application and use of the scoring framework to build long-term institutional capacity
Organise outreach and engagement activities, such as workshops, events, and stakeholder interactions, to promote the funding mechanism among start-ups, investors, and ecosystem partners
Requirements
Experience supporting project management, programme implementation, consultancy, or advisory activities
Ability to work with funding mechanisms for start-ups, MSMEs, and social enterprises
Familiarity with scoring models, evaluation criteria, financial viability, and social impact assessment
Strong ability to screen applications, prepare documentation, and support project selection processes
Ability to track performance, financial utilisation, and impact metrics for funded projects
Good stakeholder coordination skills, including experience supporting workshops, events, training sessions, or engagement activities
Strong communication, reporting, analytical, and organisational skills
