The Sales Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager role focuses on developing new business within contract logistics and freight forwarding. Based onsite in Gurgaon, the position combines customer development, operational assessments, solution-based sales, and commercial negotiations to support profitable business growth.
Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in contract logistics
Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective customers
Understand customer requirements and provide tailored logistics solutions
Conduct site visits and assessments to understand customer operations and identify business opportunities
Negotiate and close sales deals while considering pricing and profitability
Requirements
3–5 years of relevant experience
3–5 years of sales experience in contract logistics and freight forwarding
Strong communication skills
A degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field will be an advantage
Preferred qualifications:
Proven sales experience, preferably within the logistics industry
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle objections
Self-motivated and target-driven with a results-oriented approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
