The Deputy Manager role is responsible for maintaining factory buildings, civil infrastructure, fire safety systems, and water management facilities in Bangalore. The position also provides civil support for machinery installations, workplace facilities, statutory compliance, and maintenance audits.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain factory buildings, civil structures, floors, doors, washrooms, and painting and whitewashing works

  • Maintain fire hydrants, fire sprinklers, smoke detectors, and fire water lines

  • Ensure proper maintenance of underground tanks, overhead tanks, water pipelines, and gutters

  • Maintain rainwater harvesting ponds, pits, and drainage systems

  • Attend to rainwater leakages and roofing issues, particularly during the monsoon

  • Provide civil support for new machinery installations, foundations, and fabrication works

  • Support the Maintenance Department with civil-related issues affecting machinery

  • Support Human Resources and Administration with office layouts, welfare facilities, and statutory amenities

  • Manage and coordinate civil maintenance contractors and vendors

  • Maintain factory civil and layout drawings in digital and physical formats

  • Ensure compliance with fire safety and factory statutory requirements

  • Maintain basic maintenance records and provide support during audits

Requirements

  • Knowledge of factory building and civil infrastructure maintenance

  • Understanding of fire safety systems, water infrastructure, drainage systems, and rainwater harvesting facilities

  • Ability to support civil works for machinery installations, foundations, and fabrication

  • Knowledge of fire safety and factory statutory requirements

  • Ability to coordinate civil maintenance contractors and vendors

  • Ability to maintain civil drawings, layout documentation, and maintenance records

  • Strong coordination skills for working with Maintenance, Human Resources, and Administration teams
