The Process Engineer role supports process planning, assembly line design, and packaging development activities. The position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process optimisation techniques, and continuous improvement methodologies to support new product development and high-volume production.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain process flow charts, time studies, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and process control plans for new product development and high-volume production
Interpret customer requirements and engineering drawings and translate them into effective manufacturing processes
Design and develop assembly line layouts using drafting software, preferably AutoCAD 2D
Evaluate and improve assembly line capacity for existing and new products
Conduct process capability studies and implement process improvements based on the findings
Drive Kaizen initiatives to improve product quality, reduce cycle times, and enhance operational efficiency
Identify opportunities to increase line productivity and overall manufacturing efficiency
Design and optimise packaging solutions for product shipment and handling
Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and presentations related to process development activities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support smooth process implementation and product launches
Requirements
Basic knowledge of:

Microsoft Office applications
Hands-on experience with drafting software, preferably AutoCAD 2D
Understanding of different assembly line layouts and production line balancing concepts
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications
Knowledge of continuous improvement practices and lean manufacturing principles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and reporting abilities
Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to process improvement
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and coordinate with multiple departments
Willingness to relocate to and work onsite in Sri City
