The Production Engineer role is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing professional to contribute to daily production performance, quality improvement, and shop floor efficiency. The role offers an opportunity to apply strong welding process knowledge, team co-ordination skills, and practical continuous improvement experience within an onsite manufacturing environment in Bidadi.
Responsibilities
Plan and schedule daily production activities to support operational targets and company goals.
Monitor hourly production across each line and respond promptly to production issues.
Co-ordinate manpower and work closely with team members to maintain smooth shop floor operations.
Support quality performance by following and implementing quality basics to maintain zero PPM.
Analyse defects and scrap, identify root causes, and implement temporary and permanent countermeasures.
Lead and support KAIZEN, loss reduction, scrap reduction, and rework reduction activities to improve productivity and cost efficiency.
Maintain 5S standards on the shop floor and support continuous improvement through KANBAN, Poka-Yoke, 4M controls, cycle time study, and problem-solving methods.
Requirements
Experience in production engineering within an engineering and manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience in robotic welding processes.
Willingness to carry out manual TIG welding when required.
Knowledge of Toyota Production System, KANBAN, KAIZEN, 5S, 7 QC tools, and shop floor problem-solving practices.
Ability to prepare clear and practical work instructions.
Strong understanding of welding, Why-Why analysis, root cause analysis, defect analysis, scrap reduction, and rework reduction.
Good manpower handling, team co-ordination, production monitoring, and communication skills.
