The Sales Assistant Manager role is a great fit for a sales professional who can manage customer enquiries, coordinate cross-functional project development, and support sales reporting in a manufacturing environment. This onsite role offers the opportunity to work closely with customers, internal teams, and overseas stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and well-coordinated sales and project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for customers across automotive and non-automotive segments

  • Handle new enquiries and RFQs, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for technical feasibility reviews, project development, customer requirements, and project execution

  • Manage customer interactions related to project development, specification meetings, and customer-specific requirements

  • Prepare monthly sales reports for submission to headquarters in Japan and maintain order, sales, forecast, and dispatch-related data

  • Coordinate dispatch plans, follow up on plan adherence, and update order status based on customer priorities

  • Prepare and maintain project development documentation, including APQP documents, timeline plans, IATF 16949:2016-related documents, audit-related records, and action plans for development observations

Requirements

  • Experience in sales, business development, customer coordination, or project-related sales within a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to handle customer enquiries, RFQs, specifications, and project development discussions

  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams for technical feasibility, project execution, and customer requirements

  • Knowledge of sales reporting, order tracking, dispatch planning, and forecast management

  • Understanding of APQP documentation, development timelines, audit preparation, or IATF 16949:2016-related documentation

  • Strong communication and coordination skills for working with customers, internal departments, and overseas stakeholders

  • Comfortable working onsite in a manufacturing-related environment
