The Senior Engineer role focuses on sales coordination, customer relationship management, and project management within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a professional with experience in automotive supply chains, quotation handling, project execution, and cross-functional coordination.
Responsibilities
Sales
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support revenue growth
Build and maintain strong relationships with automotive OEM customers, resolve customer-related issues, and support customer satisfaction
Handle quotation preparation, negotiation, Annual Price Reduction activities, and cost-reduction initiatives
Track sales performance metrics, forecasts, and key performance indicators
Prepare final sales quotations, presentations, and proposals for potential clients
Support continuous improvement of sales processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Apply understanding of automotive supply chains, OEM requirements, quotation analysis, and IATF standards
Project management
Create and maintain project schedules to support project planning and execution
Manage projects from concept and design stage through to Start of Production
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, conduct weekly reviews, and track project milestones
Monitor project costs, track budgets, and identify cost-reduction opportunities
Manage design changes, progress updates, manufacturing standards, and engineering change requirements
Identify and manage technical, commercial, and operational risks
Coordinate with overseas companies and manage project progress communication
Requirements
Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology
Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant experience
Practical language skills in Hindi, English, and Kannada
Strong understanding of automotive supply chains, OEM requirements, and quotation analysis
Experience handling quotations, negotiation, Annual Price Reduction activities, and cost-reduction initiatives
Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning, Production Part Approval Process, engineering change management, risk management, and project management
Excellent negotiation, communication, relationship-building, and team-building skills
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office
Knowledge of International Automotive Task Force standards is an advantage
