The Senior Engineer - Production role is focused on managing production tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machine spare parts inventory to support uninterrupted production operations. This role is a great fit for someone with experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or spare parts inventory management who can support inventory control, drawing interpretation, dimensional verification, procurement coordination, and continuous improvement activities.
Responsibilities
Manage the inventory of production tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machine spare parts
Monitor stock levels and maintain minimum and maximum inventory levels for critical spares to help prevent production downtime
Maintain accurate records of spare parts purchases, consumption, stock levels, and usage history
Raise Purchase Requisitions for tools and spare parts as required
Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly drawings, and spare part drawings
Perform dimensional verification using measuring instruments
Coordinate with suppliers for technical discussions and spare part clarifications
Support production and maintenance teams in resolving tool and spare part-related issues
Implement and drive Kaizen and 5S activities related to tool management and inventory control
Ensure compliance with inventory management procedures and best practices
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field
2 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or spare parts inventory management
Familiarity with TPM, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly drawings, and spare part drawings
Experience in inventory control, spare parts management, dimensional verification, and supplier coordination
