The Senior Service Engineer - Robotics role provides onsite installation, commissioning, maintenance, and technical support for semiconductor equipment at customer facilities. The position focuses on equipment reliability, rapid fault resolution, customer satisfaction, and close collaboration with regional and global technical teams. Extensive travel across India is required.
Responsibilities
Install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot semiconductor equipment at customer sites
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability
Diagnose equipment failures, conduct root cause analyses, and implement effective corrective actions to minimise downtime
Provide prompt onsite technical support and work with customers, area managers, and internal teams to maximise equipment uptime and resolve technical issues
Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to productivity, reliability, and operational efficiency
Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, technical reports, and related documentation, and support customer training on equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices
Follow company safety policies, quality standards, and customer-specific protocols while maintaining strong customer relationships and escalating critical issues to regional and global support teams when required
Requirements
Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and fault-finding capabilities
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong customer service, stakeholder management, and relationship-building abilities
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities
Effective communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in preparing technical reports and maintaining service documentation
Willingness to travel extensively across India for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and customer support activities
Ability to work professionally in customer-facing environments and maintain high service standards
Previous experience with semiconductor equipment, industrial machinery, automation systems, or related technical service environments would be an advantage
