The Service Engineer role offers the opportunity to work with advanced mechanical and servo press systems, supporting installation, maintenance, and technical troubleshooting. This role plays a key part in ensuring equipment reliability and customer satisfaction while working closely with engineers and technical teams.
Responsibilities
Fulfil all requirements of a Service Engineer
Work under minimum supervision with verbal and written instructions on maintenance, installations and repairs
Instruct associates and customers in the proper maintenance and repair of equipment and work closely with engineers and associates while leading a team of technicians
Complete tasks in line with instructions and guidelines provided by the reporting manager
Perform maintenance inspections and prepare detailed documentation of necessary repairs and observations
Adjust, fit and align equipment to manufacturers’ specifications
Communicate and provide feedback to management on opportunities to improve customer and associate satisfaction
Submit expense reports, timesheets and work orders in accordance with departmental policies and guidelines and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
3–7 years’ experience in similar commodity
3–4 years’ experience as a Service Engineer in mechanical press and servo press
Experience in metal forming equipment installation and repair
Mechanical drive maintenance and repair
Electrical wiring and controls diagnosis and repair
Maintenance and repair of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
General knowledge of:
Material feeding and production line systems
Rigging and millwright skills
Risk management knowledge
Project schedule planning and execution
