Position Title: Finance & Account controller
Department: Finance (corporate division)
Working Location: Pune
Role and Responsibilities:
To oversee and manage the accounting and financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate policies. Provide strategic financial leadership and support to enhance business performance and drive growth.
Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure the financial stability of the company.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards.
Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded.
Manage the accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and corporate policies.
Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns and statutory filings.
Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasting.
Analyze budget variances and provide insights and recommendations to management.
Support strategic planning and decision-making with detailed financial analysis and projections.
Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the integrity of financial information.
Implement and monitor compliance with corporate governance standards.
Provide financial guidance and support to business units and senior management (Gurgaon branch and Netherland branch).
Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support business goals.
Contribute to strategic discussions and decision-making processes with financial insights.
Other Responsibilities:
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Experience in the chemical industry or manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
Experience working in a Japanese corporate environment is preferred.
Experience working with European companies is preferred.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
