Purpose of the Role:

To lead and manage assembly shop operations, ensuring achievement of production targets while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and cost efficiency. The role involves effective manpower management, process control, and driving continuous improvement through Kaizen, innovation, and adoption of industry best practices.

  • Daily Production Management & Line Balancing (TVP Approach)
  • Process Control & Monitoring Techniques
  • Manpower Planning & Team Leadership
  • Kaizen, 5S6F, and Continuous Improvement Initiatives
  • Quality Management Systems (QMS) & EHS Compliance
  • Root Cause Analysis & Problem-Solving (Why-Why, Fishbone, FMEA, 8D)
  • Exposure to Digital Manufacturing (Industry 4.0, MES Monitoring)
  • Strong Communication Skills in Hindi & English

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Achieve daily production targets through optimal resource utilization
  2. Monitor and control critical process parameters for defect-free output
  3. Manage and develop shop floor workforce for enhanced productivity
  4. Drive Kaizen, 5S6F, and innovation initiatives at Gemba
  5. Implement line balancing and TVP approach for operational efficiency
  6. Ensure compliance with QMS, ISO standards, and EHS regulations
  7. Conduct root cause analysis and implement CAPA
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth operations
  9. Lead cost reduction and productivity improvement projects
  10. Foster a disciplined, motivated, and safe work culture

 

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of assembly operations in 2W/automotive manufacturing
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, TPM, and operational excellence tools
  • Knowledge of digital dashboards, production reporting, and OEE improvement
  • Awareness of statutory compliance related to plant safety and environment

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 8–12 years in assembly operations within the automotive/2W industry
  • Proven track record in team management and process improvement
