Job Description of Presales Engineer –
Purpose and scope
The pre-sales engineer will be responsible for designing connectivity solutions for potential customers and will have knowledge of the network’s infrastructures based on Copper (Cat 5,6 & 6A) and Fiber optics, & Network Switches, ELV Systems & IT infrastructure such as Racks, UPS & Server Room Systems and will have experience of supporting sales functions in a technical environment. The role requires extensive knowledge of network topologies and technologies and demands the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
The pre-sales engineer will report to the Presales Team Lead within Engineering division.
Provide trusted technical advice and recommendations to customers and colleagues alike.
Influence, persuade and negotiate with senior stakeholders in member and customer organizations
Engage with sales team to support pre-sales activities.
Develop excellent working relationships with partner organizations to ensure effective collaboration in
responding to customer needs.
Act as the technical adviser to project teams, colleagues and customers providing specialist technical expertise of the highest level.
Prepare design documents professionally in CADs & Microsoft office applications & MS Visio
Must do Site survey onsite to check customer network environments and understand and propose solutions accordingly.
Candidate must possess at least a Vocational Diploma or Bachelor's/College Degree in IT, Computer Science or Others with Technical training in the field of Computer Systems and Networks.
Industry Certifications in Passive & Active Networks would be a Value Add.
• At least 4 to 6 year(s) of working experience in the field of computer systems and networks.

Job Duties:
Act as the Design Engineer for all sales opportunities in the below areas,- Network Connectivity (Active & Passive)
- Server Room Infrastructure Design
