Reporting to: Sales Director – Asia Pacific
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for delivering the budgeted revenue, volume and gross margin for South Asia (India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh) and selected key accounts.
This is accomplished by demonstrating leadership worth following to deliver successful business results in a manner consistent with the company’s culture; utilizing highly strategic selling techniques; distribution management, key account management and the successful prospecting for new business. Success is obtaining new wins that “move the needle” by navigating complex sales conditions with key buying influences. This position will also demonstrate company’s value through end-application presentations and negotiating new business.
Responsible for sales in assigned countries within Sout Asia, selected key accounts and collaborate with Application and Customer service team in Malaysia & Singapore Offices, and Global team to deliver profit through growth in sales revenue, margins and volume targets. Under the guidance of Sales Director Asia Pacific, execute short and long-term strategies with appropriate tactical plans. Develop the sales, marketing and technical skills to expand the company’s products and presence in these markets. To cultivate, grow and manage business relationships between company and select direct accounts and distributors / channel partners.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for achieving budgeted sales & volume growth and profitability targets with assigned countries and own direct accounts on Products.
Work with Asia team and assigned channel partners, leading and developing them to create and optimize business opportunities.
Jointly develop and implement sales and marketing strategies with colleagues to maximize sales revenue and gross profit for core products at selected Key Account and Multinational accounts. Create appropriate client action plans.
Work together with the Asia team to provide efficient and prompt response to internal and external customer needs providing maximum customer service satisfaction.
Coordinate with Sales Director, Business Units, and Key Account team to determine and execute consistent pricing policies. To gather and assess competitive information on pricing, product quality, applications and competitive activity. Bring large new business opportunities to the attention of the Sales Director Asia Pacific and Business Units.
To extend current marketing strategies to food and beverage industry with the aim of retaining and growing new business.
To identify needs / gaps in South Asia food and beverage industries and to specify the development and positioning of products to meet those needs.
Create maximum “top of mind” for products and solutions with the assigned accounts.
To assist with the regulatory affairs compliance of South Asia business. To monitor and report regulatory developments which may affect the growth of the company.
To facilitate and enhance communication between Key Accounts and Channel Partners team with Asia Cross-Function team namely Customer service, Application, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing and Management.
Education/Experience/Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 8 - 10 years of relevant industrial food ingredient selling experience in South Asia
Key Account and Distribution Management skills
Intermediate level of experience in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint.
Experience using Salesforce.com or other CRM experience
Physical Demands:
Approximately 50% travel with assigned accounts, territory, and channel partners.
