Job Overview:
Looking for an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to join the Machinery Division as Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Engineering. As a Site Manager/Project Executor, the individual will drive execution, directly managing and implementing projects on-site on behalf of the organization. Client coordination, procurement oversight, and providing robust project support are essential additional skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Project Execution & Site Management (Primary Responsibility)
Manage day-to-day site operations including installation, commissioning, testing, and handover.
Coordinate with OEMs, EPC contractors, Japanese technical teams, and client engineering departments.
Ensure safety, quality, and compliance standards are met at all times.
Lead , supervise on-site execution of machinery installation & commissioning of projects.
Act as Company Project Manager at site for EPC-related activities.
Technical Expertise:
Read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings (General Arrangement-2D / 3D , P&I diagrams, layout drawings, etc.).
Understand equipment specifications and functionality from both electrical and mechanical standpoint.
Evaluate site readiness and manage technical troubleshooting during project execution.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management:
Coordinate between Japanese principals, OEMs, contractors, and internal teams.
Support electrical/mechanical engineering teams with on-site technical requirements.
Maintain effective communication and timely reporting to internal management and Japanese partners.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Provide basic electrical coordination support (only coordination; not full electrical design).
Support customer requirements at manufacturing plants, shop floors, and project sites.
Assist in documentation, compliance paperwork, and project progress reports.
Job Requirements:
Must be a graduate from electrical engineering or mechanical engineering background with at least 9+ years of experience in project execution, site engineering, or plant equipment installation.
Experience working with/for OEMs, EPC companies, automotive manufacturing plants, or Japanese trading houses preferred
Strong understanding of MEP (Mechanical–Electrical–Plumbing) systems in industrial environments.
Experience with automotive OEM equipment, paint shops, robots, jigs, conveyors, material-handling systems, etc.
Experience in EPC project execution—especially in infrastructure (rail/Bullet Train/industrial) is preferred.
Study and interpret machine layout drawings and technical specifications.
Prepare detailed, day-wise installation schedules for machinery and equipment.
Analyse client specifications and suggest necessary changes or deviations to meet project requirements
