Responsibilities:
- Implement dataPARC projects in close collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders
- Achieve excellent customer satisfaction on projects.
- Execute projects efficiently through effective project engineering. Meet project schedule and deadlines by managing the defined scope, monitoring project progress, coordinating project tasks, and resolving problems.
- Lead system integration planning and coordination with the customer and third parties.
- Train customers (Operators, Engineers, Management) on use of software in their production environment on-site, and remotely.
- Participate in dataPARC software testing and quality assurance. Document findings and participate in QA reviews.
- Available to travel up to 60% of time
Required knowledge, skills and abilities
• Knowledge of the dataPARC or other Process Information Management Systems (PIMS)
• Relevant knowledge of pulp & paper processes, process analysis, quality management, and
production management.
• IT and database skills with a solid understanding of operating systems, industrial networks and
communication protocols, Microsoft Windows Server and Windows 10, and MS SQL Server.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and VBA.
• Automation, instrument and controls experience, including systems integration and OPC UA.
• Basic knowledge of application development in an object-oriented programming language such as
Visual Basic .NET an asset.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the use of Information Technology within the pulp & paper
industry. System Administration skills an asset
