Job Role:

  • Participates in advanced process control (APC) projects and service. This is an onsite support role, that helps maintain APC solutions for pulp and paper processes. 
  • This initial role is to support the Bleach Plant Control solution that is already implemented and to help deliver savings. 
  • The successful candidate will integrate themselves with the client team to best support and coordinate activities around the bleach plant instruments and advanced controls. 
  • Provides consulting services to optimize customer’s process performance starting with the bleach plant area. 
  • Provides expert training on company products and applications for customer’s engineers and operators. 
  • The candidate is expected to possess the ability to analyze process data to assess control performance in order to troubleshoot process and control problems. 
  • The position is a specific site coordinator role to help company communicate effectively with the client during the implementation and support of the advanced controls. 
  • The role includes ensuring that APC solutions maximize savings for the client site following company standards of excellence to ensure
    consistent and efficient on site leadership.


Main Responsibilities
 

  • Support installed APC application at customer site In Erode area.
  • Utilize company software to optimize bleach plant process.
  • Includes working to optimize and tune the advanced process control solution ensuring instruments and controls are well maintained.
  • On site coordination for the company activities to implement upgrades and support APC applications. 
  • Recommend control modifications and operational changes to maximize mill performance. 
  • Coordinate activities with customer staff and provide APC training.
  • Analyze process and control data using company's software and other tools. 
  • Generates monthly reports to summarize application performance and ongoing service activities.
  • Generates documentation and training material that clearly describes the modifications made to APC applications and the functionality of the applications.
  • Communicates effectively with internal and external customers demonstrating a high level of confidentiality and respect.


Job Requirements:

  • Education: B.S. Degree in Chemical, Pulp and Paper, or Bioresource Engineering.
  • Master’s degree, PhD, or process control specialization an asset.
