Position: Senior Executive- Sales Raw Materials & Machinery

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand existing business and products of company machinery department.
- Identify clients and opportunities in the Steel Sector for undertaking trading operations (sell to Steel Sector clients) for commodities, Machineries consumables like Roll.
- Develop market potential /understand pain areas of customers & their current procurement policy.
- Build and nurture Key Account relationships with client connects in Procurement as well as Maintenance/Operation team of clients in the Steel and related Sector and build credibility.
- Expand domestic business for company India through trading operations.
- Follow “Value Selling” approach, track Roll lives for ours vs competition.
- Market Intelligence & Attitude to continue update on Competition Activities
- Ensure continuous revenue generation with fewer risks, work like an independent profit centre and revenue generator for Raw materials and Machineries division.
- Co-ordinate the entire business activity from conceptualization, business model, market evaluation, order input etc. till delivery / execution, and ensure payment collection.
- Constant feedback to the management from the market to decide on future strategy.
- Export Machinery Products manufactured by Indian producers to overseas companies (directly) or through company's overseas offices.
- Develop excellent relationship with key personnel within company India as well as the HQ in Japan, and other overseas offices.
- Regular travel and interaction with all stakeholders (external and internal)
- Monthly and yearly analysis from export/import statistic for handling items
OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Confidentiality agreements with assistance of intellectual property department.
- Expense control & management
- Customer Concern follow-up and coordination with appropriate department within company.
- Contract administration as required.
- Utilization of sales software in laptop and phone as per company guidelines
- Coordinate company India activities in country marketing including trade shows and media contact under the guidance of Country Management
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Preferred: Graduate with at least 3 years of work experience of trading operations in the Steel Sector (an Engineering qualification in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering would be preferred)
- Global Trading Work Experience with International (Global) company could be preferred.
- MBA qualifications and Japanese language skills are not necessary, but good to have.
- Age Group: 25-30 years
- Good understanding of Indian Steel industry, how Steel, Raw materials and/or Machinery are being sold in different industry sectors.
- Proven experience in customer and market research
- Relevant product and industry knowledge (steel and rolling mill)
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office software. (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
