Tasks
- You support companys' (pre-) development projects for new products and processes in the research and development department for paper machinery building with simulations.
- You contribute to product development by performing calculations and simulations with a focus in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics (CFD) and structural mechanics (FEM).
- Your daily tasks include preprocessing (incl. meshing and grid studies) as well as solving simulations and postprocessing of results.
- Together with the simulation team, which is located at the headquarters in Germany, you improve existing simulation methods and develop new models.
- You take part in the calibration and validation process for simulation models.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, informatics, mathematics or a similar discipline
- High interest in solving technical questions with CFD/FEM simulations.
- Good mathematical and analytical skills
- Experience with CFD/FEM Software, ideally ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS
- X or ANSYS Fluent
- Very good skills in English
- Interest in intercultural working (rest of the team is located in Germany)
