Position: Solar PV Module -Laboratory Manager
Location: Ahmedabad, India

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Lab Operation management
Maintenance and calibration of lab equipment in accordance with all relevant standards and scheme
Technical & Quality management of Solar PV laboratory
Overall Customers Project management
Responsible for timely submission of deliverables
Resource management of laboratory personnel, equipment, facilities & upgradations
Manage the selection and procurement of all laboratory equipment.
Maintaining Risk & opportunities, impartiality & confidentiality matters
Maintaining ISO, BIS and IEC CB Accreditation
Ensuring and improving the compliance with ISO 17025, BIS approval and Certified Laboratory (CB) scheme of the IEC
Planning and execution of accreditation audits
Continual improvement mindset
Development of tools for maintaining and improving quality and efficiency of deliverables
Optimization of lab reports, procedures & TAT
Maintaining laboratory standards in line with international labs
Development of Laboratory Personnel
Ensuring all personnel meet and perform in accordance with the qualifications required by the ISO, BIS and CB scheme of the IEC
Organizing and implementing the required internal and external training for personnel
Developing key strategies and technical know-how as the laboratory expands
Technical Leadership and Support
Development of new test methods, standards and reports as per market needs
Participate in customer meetings as a lead technical consultant
Support preparation of sales proposals for certification and testing services
Support the sales activities by providing solutions for complex testing queries from customers
Provide technical leadership and training to team members
Management Reporting
Regular reporting on technical and commercial laboratory matters to MCIND Management
Participation in technical advisory expert committee meetings
Profit and loss management of the laboratory business
Budget and schedule control
Reporting statutory & regulatory, compliance, EQMSH and industry updates
Risk & opportunities, impartiality confidentiality matters
Requirements:
Post-graduate university degree in a relevant technical area such as electrical engineering/Solar/ Renewable Energy or Material science.
Minimum 5-6 years’ experience in managing laboratory management system.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Solar industry preferable in PV testing
Qualified for ISO 17025, have experience of solar module testing standards such as IEC 61215, 61730, 61853 etc.
Professional experience with project & man management
Excellent knowledge in the certification, production and testing of PV modules.
Computer skills in MS Office and project management tools
Fluency in English
Efficient and effective time management
Excellent team collaboration and communication skills
Ability to multi-task in order to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work according to industry norms and standards to ensure high level of quality
