Job Purpose:
  • Overseeing compliance with financial regulations and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making by Management and Board of Directors.
  • Supervise cash flow management, profit and loss, investments, budgeting, assets and debts, financial reporting along with the applicable policies and directives of Group, and strategic decisions by the Management.
  • Supervise tax and other legal compliances (including the global TP, global compliance and other in-house compliances) and handle the audit, litigation and assessments on these.
  • Taking initiative on new developments in finance, accounting, tax and legal compliance field to ensure smooth operations of the company while meeting the increasing needs of the organization.
  • Managing risks proactively associated with cash, capital, asset, accounting/tax/other legal compliance and helps to develop a new strategy and communication with key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and support managing any new investment projects with Management, relevant business divisions and other stakeholders and provide professional advice on tax/legal structure, documentation, compliances, financial impacts and projections for new projects in India.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: -
  • Supervising all function on accounting, finance, tax and legal/Company Act matters.
  • Provide necessary instructions to Finance & Accounting Division and Legal/Company Secretary
  • Supervising reporting on finance, tax and other legal compliances and planning/execution of budget for a whole company
  • Provide inputs to Management, Directors, HQ, RHQ and other group companies on economic trends, legal updates, regulatory risks, legal compliance matters.
  • Improve the existing rules and operations to realize better transparency, accountability, financial control, and efficiency on various business processes.
  • Involve in a planning, development and execution of new projects and with a coordination with relevant departments (such as responsible business divisions, Legal and Tax teams in HQ), provide professional advice on finance, legal and tax regulatory perspective.
Qualifications and Experience: -
  • More than 15 years of experience in finance and tax acumen. Experience in company act and other legal matters will be an added advantage.  
  • leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Advanced understanding in accounting, legal/regulatory issues, and/or tax matters.
  • Extensive experience on new project management from finance/tax/legal perspective.
  • Certification for Accountant, Tax Accountant or Lawyer. 
  •  Industry experience. Working with Japanese companies will be an added advantage.
