Key Responsibilities
- Japanese Interpretation Duties
- Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation during meetings, presentations, training sessions, and site visits.
- Interpret at English-language meetings attended by head office engineers.
- Accompany and interpret for head office visitors during their stays in India.
- Translate written documents between Japanese and English (and occasionally Hindi).
- Support for New Land Acquisition Tasks (Assisting Senior Indian Staff)
- Assist with desk-based land surveys and related research.
- Accompany field surveys as required.
- Support the preparation and coordination of contract-related documents with consultants and head office personnel.
- Support for Japanese Expatriates and Families in Mumbai
- Prepare required documentation for expatriates (e.g., FRRO, VISA, etc.).
- Provide Japanese-language support for expatriate family members residing in Mumbai.
- Administrative and Coordination Duties
- Assist in general office administration, coordination, and reporting.
- Act as a liaison between Japanese management and local teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Support project-related communication and resolve language or coordination issues as they arise.
Basic Requirement
- Must be able to work full-time from the Mumbai office (BKC) without relocation issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English.
- Strong interpersonal and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Must have accidental insurance coverage.
