Job Title: Land Surveyor

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Land Surveyor to join our construction team. The Land Surveyor will be responsible for conducting land surveys, preparing accurate maps and reports, and providing precise measurements to support construction project planning and execution. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and experience working on construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Survey Planning & Execution: o Conduct topographical, boundary, and construction layout surveys using advanced surveying instruments (e.g., total stations, GPS, drones). o Analyze survey data and create detailed maps, reports, and legal descriptions.
2. Construction Support: o Provide accurate site measurements for excavation, foundation layouts, and other construction activities. o Verify project dimensions and ensure compliance with design specifications.
3. Data Analysis & Documentation: o Interpret and verify data accuracy, such as measurements and calculations. o Maintain detailed survey records, field notes, and sketches.
4. Collaboration: o Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers to resolve design discrepancies or site issues. o Assist in resolving boundary disputes or legal land issues.
5. Compliance & Standards: o Ensure compliance with local laws, codes, and safety regulations. o Use and maintain survey equipment in adherence to manufacturer and safety standards.
Qualifications:
• Educational Requirements: Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in land surveying for construction projects.
• Technical Skills: o Proficiency in surveying equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS, drones, and levels). o Knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS software, and other mapping tools is an advantage. o Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Soft Skills: o Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. o Ability to work independently and in teams.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in large-scale construction projects.
• Knowledge of geotechnical and structural engineering basics.
• Familiarity with Office 365, PowerPoint.
