Company Overview
A company in the manufacturing sector is hiring for a Logistics Team Leader position. This role reports directly to the Managing Director (MD) and offers the opportunity to lead a small team, manage complex import/export operations, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Lead and supervise one junior team member and manage overall logistics operations
Oversee import and export activities, ensuring adherence to customs, DGFT, and shipping regulations
Handle documentation including Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin, and related paperwork
Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and regulatory bodies for timely clearance of goods
Negotiate with shipping lines and service providers for cost-effective solutions
Collaborate with internal teams, primarily sales, to ensure smooth flow of goods and documentation
Share critical information with the MD and sales teams regularly
Manage approximately 100 different product types
Job Requirements
Strong experience in logistics and international trade compliance
Knowledge of customs, DGFT regulations, and shipping documentation
Ability to negotiate with service providers and manage cost efficiency
Excellent coordination and communication skills
Leadership qualities to manage and mentor team members
Familiarity with working in a manufacturing environment
