Job Title: Project Lead – Launch of a Cultivation Room (Chennai) 

Location: Chennai, India (with initial training in Japan)

 

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to lead the launch of a new therapeutic cell cultivation room in Chennai. This position involves end-to-end project management, collaboration with stakeholders, facility establishment, and staff training. The ideal candidate will have expertise in regenerative medicine manufacturing and a proactive approach to project execution.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the project schedule, ensuring timely progress and completion.
  • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, including management, local partners, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Select and install essential facilities and equipment for the cultivation room.
  • Prepare, maintain, and oversee documentation required for regulatory and operational purposes.
  • Oversee the cultivation and management of therapeutic cells, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Train local staff to ensure effective operations and sustainability of the facility.

 

Training Period in Japan (Approx. 6 months):

  • Participate in training sessions at the Japan headquarters to master cell culture techniques and terminology.
  • Establish strong professional relationships with the Japanese team and learn basic Japanese to facilitate communication.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • A degree in Biology or a related field, or expected graduation in the near future.
  • Hands-on experience in cell culture, particularly mesenchymal stem cells, with a thorough understanding of culture technology.
  • Proven experience in project management, ideally within regenerative medicine or related industries.
  • Strong communication skills to foster effective relationships with local and international partners, as well as other stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage projects independently and drive them to successful completion.

 

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes in regenerative medicine (e.g., pharmaceuticals).
  • Experience in establishing and managing manufacturing facilities.
