Company and Job Overview

The Senior Manager Logistics and Supply Chain Management will be responsible for leading end-to-end supply chain activities, including procurement and day to day handling of logistics, transportation, warehousing, and distribution services. This strategic leadership should ensure operational efficiency, cost optimization, vendor (3 PL) collaboration, and alignment with the organization’s goals. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in managing large-scale supply chains, team leadership, and driving innovation through process improvement and technology adoption.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Planning and Leadership:

    • Develop and implement long-term strategies for logistics, procurement, and supply chain operations aligned with business objectives.

    • Provide leadership to the supply chain team and foster a high-performance culture.

    • Collaborate with senior management to align supply chain strategies with company goals.

  2. Operations Management:

    • Oversee all logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.

    • Ensure on-time delivery of products while balancing cost-efficiency and quality.

    • Drive operational excellence by streamlining processes and adopting best practices.

  3. Inventory and Demand Planning (Mostly for Finished Goods)

    • Lead demand forecasting and inventory optimization to meet customer needs.

    • Monitor stock levels, manage supply chain disruptions, and mitigate risks.

  4. Vendor and Supplier Management (Specific for 3 PL only)

    • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key vendors and suppliers.

    • Lead negotiations to secure favorable contracts and terms.

    • Monitor vendor performance through KPIs and ensure SLA compliance.

  5. Technology and Process Improvement:

    • Drive digital transformation by implementing advanced tools like WMS, and analytics platforms.

    • Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma).

    • Automate processes for enhanced efficiency and cost savings.

  6. Risk Management and Compliance:

    • Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions.

    • Ensure compliance with national and international trade regulations.

    • Promote safety and sustainability across logistics and supply chain activities.

  7. Team Leadership and Development:

    • Build, mentor, and motivate a high-performing logistics and supply chain team.

    • Foster cross-functional collaboration across departments (Sales, Operations, Finance).

    • Define KPIs and monitor team performance against goals.

  8. Financial Management:

    • Prepare and manage the department’s budget to control costs.

    • Drive cost-saving initiatives and ensure profitability without compromising service quality.

    • Analyze and report key metrics to senior leadership for informed decision-making.

Job Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 12+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, retail, or e-commerce industries is preferred.

  • Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and supply chain software (TMS, WMS).

  • Strong understanding of supply chain strategies, demand planning, and Vendor (3PL) management.

  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.

  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership abilities.

  • Knowledge of legal regulations, customs, and international trade compliance.
