Educational Qualification
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, or Industrial Engineering
Skills
Expertise in export packing processes for CKD/SKD units
Knowledge of packaging material engineering (corrugated, wooden, steel, returnable containers)
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for packaging layout preparation
Familiarity with customs regulations, export documentation, and statutory compliance
Understanding of Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and cost optimization methods
Working knowledge of SAP/ERP systems
Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills
Awareness of EHS and sustainability requirements in packaging
Key Responsibilities
Design and validate export packing methods for CKD/SKD kits and spare parts
Optimize material usage, packing space, and logistics cost without compromising quality
Conduct durability tests (drop, vibration, humidity) to validate packing standards
Implement packing Kaizens for cost reduction, space saving, and sustainability
Coordinate with Logistics, SCM, and overseas distributors for smooth export operations
Monitor and improve supplier packaging quality and compliance
Support manufacturing engineering projects related to packaging automation and efficiency
Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards and Yamaha packing guidelines
Knowledge Requirements
International shipping terms (Incoterms: FOB, CIF, DDP, etc.)
Global export packing standards and sustainable packaging trends
ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001 requirements related to packaging
Hazardous goods packaging knowledge (if applicable)
