Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Control & Optimization:
- Analyze and control costs across commodities such as Sheet Metal, Plastics/Rubber, Electronics, Machining, and Hardware.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to fix target costs during project kick-off phases.
- Provide cost insights during new product development and process changes, including tooling and part costs.
- Data Management & Compliance:
- Develop, maintain, and update techno-commercial databases for fixed and variable costs.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
- Manage CapEx and summarize new model part costs.
- Strategic Cost Planning:
- Monitor and control new model cost management.
- Report cost progress and propose cost reduction strategies to purchasing management and stakeholders.
- Address cost planning queries within defined lead times.
- Budget and monitor overall organizational cost performance.
- Cost Analysis & Reporting:
- Track cost registration progress and maintain ledgers for future reference.
- Analyze cost trends and generate cost-saving ideas during project initiation stages.
- Present findings to management to support strategic decisions.
- Process Improvement:
- Map and streamline cost management processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Foster strong cross-functional and cross-cultural relationships to support team building and collaboration.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and tooling.
- Proficiency in engineering costing and analytics.
- Expertise in cost reduction strategies and risk mitigation in techno-commercial aspects.
- Familiarity with processes in Sheet Metal, Machining, and Plastic/Rubber engineering
